Live on your own Island overlooking Port Coogee Marina

POSTED ON 14 September

Thirteen luxury residences have just been released at Maraboo Island in Port Coogee. These homes all have views overlooking the world class Port Coogee Marina, which has plans underway to expand their 155 berths by approximately 70 in the coming months.

This new release at Maraboo Island Port Coogee is called the Marina View Homes. These homes have been designed by private developers Megara in conjunction with Maine Architects and will be constructed by well-known commercial and residential builder Thomas Building. Thomas are already constructing residences in the sold out previous releases on Maraboo Island.

This is the third release on Maraboo Island. The initial release of 10 Northern Canal Lots and 12 Beachside Homes was in late 2019 and sold out in just three months. This led to the early release of 10 Maraboo Cove Lots, which were 70% sold in the first month.

The Marina View Homes have sweeping views across the Marina. As part of the Marina’s expansion is a brand new boardwalk which will be constructed over the water directly across from the homes.

To live on an Island is a unique experience. This sought after lifestyle is further enhanced by a cohesive Island community, dedicated public open spaces, landscaped walkways, and the Port Coogee Village and other amenities within a stones throw from the Island.

Port Coogee Marina has obtained Level 3 Clean Marina accreditation from the Marina Industries Association and takes pride working with residents and boat owners to maintain its pristine waterways, which are home to over 80 different fish species and a selection of hard corals – although fishing is not permitted in the waterways. A 45m Public Jetty is located within the Marina, making an ideal location for Island residents to invite their boating friends to moor their boats during a visit. Water sports such as kayaking and stand up paddling boarding are encouraged amongst the protected waters at Port Coogee.

Island residents have walking access to Ngarkal Beach – the all weather beach with wheelchair access, a children’s water park and swimming pontoon – suiting all ages and swimming abilities. A short walk away is the Omeo ship wreck located in 1 – 4m of water, and the Coogee Beach Maritime Trail perfect for snorkelling or diving straight off the beach. The Shark Barrier and Coogee Jetty are also located close by.

Selling Agent Jared Rayner from Pulse Property Group said that ‘Port Coogee was first developed 12 years ago, and it has now become one of WA’s most sought after coastal addresses in WA. There are only limited locations were you can live on the coast, access a Marina from your own Island, have uninterrupted views over boats and water life, and be so close to the Perth CBD – Maraboo Island is one of them.

The green titled Marina View Home lots have already generated a high level of interest prior to their release and we anticipate they will sell out quickly. 30% sold on launch weekend – just in time for the beginning of spring. There are only 51 lots on Maraboo Island, and three quarters of these have already sold, so now is the time to secure your unique piece of Island living’.

The Marina View Homes priced from $1.1m have uninterrupted views over the Port Coogee Marina. A lot of living has been created in the 340sqm2 homes with sophisticated finishes featuring classic coastal tones combined with rich timber and textured accents. There are cleverly considered indoor /outdoor layouts, premium finishes, high ceilings and full height glazing to capture the picturesque coastal outlooks.

Choices for buyers include 3 or 4 bedroom with 2 bathrooms, double storey, double storey with a roof top terrace or triple storey – all with double garages.

Maraboo Island has been developed by Megara, who are behind residential developments such as The Foundry in Leederville, Matheson on Kearns in Ardross and Avion on Birdwood in Melville. They are fast becoming one of Western Australia’s leading boutique developers who identify locations with outstanding potential in lifestyle and growth.
